Jean-Claude Roc is a pationnate ethnograph. He has also written several articles on Cantal's sheperd's life. During his free time, three years in a row, he travelled across Upper-Auvergne mountains, looking for the oldest "burons", or sheperd shelters.
He delivers a comprehensive catalog and study, based on archived referencesa and illustrated with no less than 300 photos, selected from the more than 1,000 pictures he took along his journey.
